What we found
Most litter mats are one sheet.
That is the entire problem.
We went looking for why a mat that measures well still leaves litter across the floor. It is not the surface texture and it is not the size. A single sheet has nowhere to put what it catches, so every grain it collects sits on top waiting to be kicked off again.
The mats that work are built differently: two bonded layers with a void between them. That void is the whole mechanism, and it is the one thing a flat mat cannot retrofit.
How it works
It falls through, and it stays there.
The top layer is perforated. The bottom layer is solid. Litter carried out on your cat’s paws drops through the openings and sits in the gap between them, below the surface, where paws cannot reach it again.

The surface is soft-sided rather than spiked. Cats refuse mats that feel sharp underfoot, and a cat avoiding the box is a far worse outcome than tracked litter.
Most cats stop noticing it within a few days. Ours walks across it without breaking stride, which is the only behaviour that matters.

Questions
Does it catch all of it?
No. It catches what leaves the box on your cat’s paws. Litter kicked over the side of the box lands beyond the mat, which is why we sell the oversized one rather than claiming a percentage.
How large is it, exactly?
24 by 35 inches. Measure the floor in front of your box before ordering — a sizing surprise is the most common complaint in this category.
How is it cleaned?
Lift one edge and tip the trapped litter back into the box, or rinse and air dry. Roughly ten seconds either way.
Do you sell food or treats?
No. We carry non-edible essentials only. Anything that goes inside your cat should come from your veterinarian or a specialist.
Is this a dropshipping store?
Our supplier ships to you directly rather than us holding stock. We are straightforward about that, and about the delivery window it produces. What we do not do is manufacture reviews, invent urgency, or promise dates nobody can hold.
